Our two main rehearsal venues are St. Peter’s Church Hall on Lutton Place, and the Reid Concert Hall on Bristo Square. Both Sinfonia and the Symphony Orchestra rehearse at the Reid (as it is known), and Chorus rehearse at St. Peter’s. The location of both of these venues can be found below:

The bus services across Edinburgh are excellent, and reach across most of the parts of the city. The following buses stop on South Clerk Street by Lutton Place (for St. Peter’s Church): 3, 5, 7, 8, 14, 29, 30, 31, 33, 37, 47, 48, and the 49. The 2, 41 and 42 stop nearest to the University’s central campus for the Reid Hall.

Of course, our practice venues are very central in Edinburgh, being near to Pollock Halls and to the other various University of Edinburgh accommodation areas, as well as being in close proximity to Marchmont and Newington. This means that for the vast majority of members, walking and cycling are the best option.
